Resting Near Big Waters (RNBW) – Meet & Greet

The RNBW is a project being done by the NWT Métis Nation regarding the Residential Schools of Breynat Hall (Fort Smith), St. Peter’s & All Saints (Hay River) and St. Joseph’s (Fort Resolution). The RNBW Team is now taking names of Métis Residential School Survivors, to make arrangements to sit with them and record their experiences and memories. ‘Truth Gathering’ or ‘interviews’ will begin in February 2024. The RNBW Team will be holding a meet and greet to share what this work is about.

Where: Community Hall, Fort Resolution
Date: February 16, 2024
Time: 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

If you are ready to share your Residential School Experience, please contact Lead Anthropologist, Letitia Pokiak, 867-444-1189, lpokiak@nunaalianaittuq.org.
