The Northwest Territory Métis Nation would like to congratulate Melissa Johns on her nomination in the Mackenzie Recreation Association ‘Recreation Leader Spotlight’. The Recreation Leader Spotlight is meant to recognize recreation leaders, volunteers, and participants from around the MRA region. This initiative is to shed light on the amazing people in the sport, physical activity, and recreation community.

Melissa has been supporting the Fort Smith Minor Hockey for the last 7 years as a Division Manager, ensuring all participants are registered, insured, and ready to skate.

“Volunteering is an opportunity to build relationships with others who share your values!  Creating opportunities for our children requires volunteers, commitment, and an eager heart! Get involved!!” – Melissa Johns
