The Northwest Territory Métis Nation is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or abilities.

The ongoing goal for this website is to conform to the Accessible Canada Act, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 which covers a wide range of recommendations for making website content accessible. While there are many aspects of the website that need to be updated to meet these standards, it is something that we are working to improve daily.

You may also use the accessibility widget located on the top left of the page to make temporary visual changes to the website.

We continue to perform ongoing monitoring in an effort to detect any ongoing or new issues that may arise.

This website is tested using a combination of accessibility tools. Including Lighthouse accessibility & speed test, Wave by WebAim Software, and various other Web Accessibility measuring tools. This combination of tools and software results in a wide range of testing which covers the complete requirements for the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1).
